Here are a few more quirky things about me, just in case you’re curious:

I love animals (especially cats) and went vegetarian after reading Charlotte’s Web as a kid.

I try to do a digital detox once a week, but it’s hard. Ridiculously hard.
I like to read multiple books at a time, mostly memoirs and nonfiction.

I take a yoga class almost every day and I’m still not that flexible.
I am a huge fan of British TV shows, particularly Outlander, Downton Abbey and The Great British Baking Show.

I read the Sunday New York Times from cover to cover, back to front.

I believe that magic and miracles are all around us, but we’re usually not paying attention.

I once taught English to children in Kyoto, Japan.

I love the sound of Scottish bagpipes. Yes, really.

My best birthday ever was spent at Esalen, up in Big Sur, California.

When Harry Met Sally… is my idea of a perfectly written screenplay.

Chicago deep dish is the world’s best pizza, I don’t care what New Yorkers say.

My favorite charity is FixNation, which helps homeless cats in Los Angeles.

I used to live in Los Angeles. Now I'm a hippie chick in Scotland.

My New Year’s resolution is always to live more in the present moment.
